Investors willing to take more risk to chase big returns in 2024 could look to stocks, bonds, or exotic cryptocurrencies, according to professionals eyeing the potential for interest rate cuts to boost risk assets next year.
Expectations that a rally in risk assets since November may gather steam is underpinned by bets the US Federal Reserve will cut interest rates 100 basis points in 2024, with Australia’s Reserve Bank tipped to ease the pressure on borrowers by cutting rates towards the end of next year.
