Hamish Douglass, one of the country’s most prominent stockpickers and the founder of Magellan Financial, says the Trump administration’s policies will lead the United States into a technical recession but urged investors to continue to back the world’s biggest economy for its long-term potential.
Douglass, who stepped down as Magellan’s chairman and chief investment officer in 2022, said the market was “past peak tariff uncertainty”.
