Trump picks ‘absolutely frightening’ Kennedy to run health
New York | Donald Trump has nominated vocal vaccine sceptic and former Democrat Robert F. Kennedy Junior as head of the US Department of Health and Human Services, alarming public health officials, in the latest in a series of controversial picks for top cabinet jobs.
Trump is stocking his administration with people whom even some Republicans find shocking, including former congressman Matt Gaetz as attorney general and Pete Hegseth, a Fox News host, as defence secretary. In choosing Mr Kennedy, Trump is picking someone who is at war with the very public health agencies he would oversee.
