OpenAI fires CEO for not being ‘consistently candid’ with board

OpenAI, the artificial intelligence start-up behind ChatGPT, has fired its chief executive Sam Altman and replaced him with the firm’s top technology officer, Mira Murati.
Ms Murati’s appointment as interim CEO is effective immediately, the company said in a post on its website on Friday (Saturday AEDT).
