The man behind artificial intelligence juggernaut ChatGPT, Sam Altman, says global moves to regulate the development of AI must guard against crushing its potential, but that even he doesn’t trust his own product to be accurate.
Speaking to AFR Weekend on a flying visit to Australia on Friday, the OpenAI co-founder and CEO also warned investors to be wary of “AI tourists” capitalising on the hype now surrounding the sector.
