Tax Office trumps all as the most trusted federal agency
An ambitious internal reform program has resulted in the Australian Tax Office emerging as the most trusted federal agency and with the highest satisfaction rating, according to a newly released government survey.
The annual national survey of 12,000 people over 12 months to June 2022, commissioned by the Prime Minister’s Department, found trust in Australian government public services remained steady over the past year at 60 per cent. This was around 4 percentage points higher than pre-pandemic levels.
