Trump might have been right on the Fed
Patrick ComminsColumnistLate last year Trump opined on Twitter that "the only problem our economy has is the Fed". After the US central bank's astonishing u-turn in 2019, one has to think the President might have been on to something.
In the same tweet (on Christmas Eve, no less), Trump continued his invective against monetary policy makers: "They don't have a feel for the market, they don't understand necessary trade wars or strong dollars or even Democrat shutdowns over borders. The Fed is like a powerful golfer who can't score because he has no touch – he can't putt!".
