Cruise operators say bookings are back above pre-pandemic levels as sentiment quickly rebounds, despite several viral outbreaks and passengers having to be offloaded after contracting COVID-19 since the industry resumed sailing in Australia.

True North, a small Australian-flagged “adventure yacht” for 36 passengers – priced at up to $35,000 a head – is understood to be the latest operator to have positive COVID-19 cases, during a cruise off Western Australia’s Kimberley region. The ship also has around 20 crew.
