If there was an award for the most scenic stretch of pathway in Europe, Santorini’s crater hike would be the one to beat. The 10-kilometre walkway along the Greek island’s volcanic caldera links a series of whitewashed villages – Fira, Firostefani, Imerovigli, Oia – and offers stunning sea views all the way along.
