What happens when six winemakers get their hands on grapes from the same vineyard?

There are six glasses of shiraz in front of me. One of the wines is pale, almost brick-coloured. The wine in the next glass is deep purple. One smells of cherries and herbs, another of blackberry and pepper. Each is different – and yet they’re all made from grapes grown in the same block of vines.
