Firedoor wins Australia's Top Restaurants' award for red meat cookery

When Lennox Hastie opened Firedoor in 2015, he was the first high-end chef in Australia to go totally unplugged.
Not only are his three wood-fired grills and two wood-fired ovens the focal point of his kitchen, they are the kitchen. Fire – from a variety of aromatic woods, grapevine and cherrywood among them – is the only heat source.
