On paper it’s an interesting combination: a winning yacht consortium, a champion Formula 1 team and a watchmaker, namely Tudor. While not the usual timing partner of Red Bull, the Swiss watchmaker has teamed up with Switzerland’s Alinghi Red Bull Racing team in its quest to win the 37th America’s Cup. As to what brought them together: marketing, exposure, a love of water, speed, the challenge, timepieces, glamour… Take your pick, but the sailing event unquestionably has it all.
