Some years ago, renowned talk show host Michael Parkinson suggested to Dame Edna Everage that she must be nearing the age of 60, eliciting the response, “I’m approaching 60, but I’m approaching it from the wrong direction.”

Looking at the latest version of the Cartier Santos, one wonders if the brand’s design folk happened to catch the episode in question, for here indeed is a watch that approaches the hour from the “wrong” direction, in other words anticlockwise.
