More than 800 subscribers and readers of The Australian Financial Review have now signed up for the upcoming About Time Watch Weekend to be held in Melbourne and Sydney in September. Most sessions have booked out, but there are still a few slots available if you can get in quick!

For those in Melbourne – who will get to experience the Watch Weekend for the first time – there are appointments available at Panerai, Longines, Girard-Perregaux and Bulgari. Panerai will have Luna Rossa novelties on deck, unveiled at this year’s Watches and Wonders along with a fitness challenge inspired by the America’s Cup. Longines is offering a tour of timekeeping instruments used by pioneers in aviation, to be led by a heritage expert visiting from the Longines museum in Switzerland. At Girard-Perregaux, you can try your hand at engraving and see historic watches on show in Australia for the first time. In another Australian first, Bulgari will showcase its Octo Finissimo Material Saga Exhibition. You can also enjoy a virtual reality tour of Bulgari’s manufacture.
