Mercedes-Benz has an all-new sporting flagship: the AMG GT 63. It is the latest in a trio of coupes with bodywork unique to the AMG sub-brand, starting with the SLS “gullwing” of 2010 and followed by the GT of 2015.
The newcomer is effectively an update of that second car (similar shape, conventional doors) but the maker claims there isn’t a single carry-over part. Better still, says Benz, buyers now benefit from a two-plus-two layout (which is to say two child-size seats in the rear), a much bigger luggage area and all-wheel drive.
