It’s not being advertised, and it won’t tour the country, but this year’s Blue Chip exhibition at Niagara Galleries in Melbourne packs as much punch as many a statement show at a major museum.

Included are rare works by household names (Sidney Nolan, Emily Kame Kngwarreye), top-tier creations from art-world favourites (Rosalie Gascoigne, Fred Williams) and exceptional pieces by hotly tipped practising artists (Brice Marden, Angelina Pwerle).
