Live Nation spends $30m to stop tours skipping one city

A warehouse that once stored coffee beans in Perth may soon reverberate to beats, after Live Nation lodged a development application for what will become Northbridge Music Hall.

The music multinational paid $10 million last November for the 77 Francis St warehouse, previously owned by the families behind Perth’s Re Store delicatessen business, and plans to spend another $20 million redeveloping it into a performance venue with standing capacity for up to 3000.
