Women can’t sue Qatar Airways over invasive strip search, court finds

Three women who pursued Qatar Airways over an invasive strip search in Doha have failed in their claim against the airline – the Federal Court has found that they cannot bring legal action under the rules governing international air travel.

Federal Court judge John Halley also found the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority, which was also being pursued by the women, was immune from foreign prosecution.
