Why COVID-free SA’s reopening will be ‘tricky’
Chester Osborn, the winemaker and figurehead of one of McLaren Vale’s best known wineries, D’Arenberg, says the re-opening of South Australia to people from Sydney and Melbourne brings a “tricky” situation for a state that is free of COVID-19.
Double-vaccinated travellers from NSW and Victoria are able to enter South Australia from 12.01am on November 23 without the need for quarantine, even though the state has failed to reach its vaccination target of 80 per cent of over-16s set four weeks ago by SA Premier Steven Marshall as the trigger for a re-opening.
