South Australian businesses say the plan to remove hard borders with NSW, Victoria and the ACT for fully vaccinated visitors from November 23 should provide a fillip for the local economy, but keeping the doors open at smaller operations could be difficult if COVID-19 cases arise.
Premier Steven Marshall outlined a reopening road map for the state which has largely been spared from the pandemic, with its most recent lockdown lasting one week in late July. South Australia has only two active cases, both in quarantine, despite scares over the past few weeks, mainly centred on interstate truck drivers who tested positive in about 10 separate cases.
