The snow is good but the runs are strangely quiet

A couple of weeks ago there was a minor traffic jam near the top of the Thredbo snow resort in NSW. Skiers and snowboarders waited 10 minutes or so, atop plentiful snow and under clear skies, to ride the Basin T-bar.
The modest line was one of the longest queues on the mountain, and a worrying sign for Thredbo’s owner, the Sydney-based and publicly traded Event Hospitality and Entertainment.
