When Roger Federer won his first grand slam title in 2003, it marked the beginning of an era in which he and rivals Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic dominated the game for almost two decades. But that could be about to change.

Over the past 18 years, the “big three” of men’s tennis have won 60 out of the 73 grand slam titles ­– the pinnacle of the sport ­– with each experiencing their own period of supremacy.
