The AFL’s grand final clash between the Brisbane Lions and Sydney Swans was watched by more than four million viewers – the highest-rating match for the sport since 2021 and the most popular event on television this year.
Data released late on Sunday by television measurement provider OzTAM shows an average of 4.02 million national viewers watched Brisbane’s 60-point thrashing of Sydney.
