Stokes-backed honey group buzzing from rising Asian demand

Australia’s largest honey company, backed by billionaire Kerry Stokes, is budgeting for 10 per cent sales growth this financial year, as the wellness trend drives more consumers towards its medicinal properties.

Ryan d’Almeida, chief executive of Hive & Wellness Australia, the parent company that owns Capilano and Barnes Naturals honey brands, said that its flagship product Capilano now had 40 per cent of the $200 million table honey retail market.
