Kathmandu looks beyond Boomers to Millennial outdoor enthusiasts
Outdoor equipment and clothing retailer Kathmandu is targeting Millennial outdoor enthusiasts as it pushes overseas and seeks to expand its market share beyond its traditional Boomer hiking customer.
The retailer – launched 33 years ago in New Zealand by entrepreneur Jan Cameron – wants to open ten flagship stores overseas as it seeks a larger slice of the $US300 billion ($475 billion) outdoor and activewear market.
