Coles chief executive Leah Weckert says shoppers are starting to feel more positive, with surging demand for its premium home brand driving revenue growth at the country’s second-largest supermarket chain.
Sales for Coles Finest, as the range is known, jumped 13.7 per cent in the three months to March 30, the company told investors, helping overall revenue rise to $10.38 billion. When adjusted for late Easter holidays, sales at the company’s supermarkets rose 3.5 per cent on last year.
