OrotonGroup boss Jenny Child was having a coffee mid-week in Sydney’s QVB amid a heavy deluge of shoppers already seeking Black Friday bargains.

“It was pumping in the city,” she tells AFR Weekend. “The energy, the vibe in the city on a Wednesday was good.”
