Anzac Day shopping ban restricts choice, retailers say
Retailers slammed a NSW Labor government plan to extend trading restrictions on major stores during Anzac Day, saying regional areas would be particularly hit by shorter supermarket hours.
Woolworths, Coles and other big stores will have to shut all day on April 25 from next year in NSW to stem what Premier Chris Minns on Wednesday called “creeping commercialism” on the commemorative public holiday.
