Women reach an important milestone in legal profession

There will soon be more women than men in private practice, completing the numerical domination of females in all sectors of legal practice outside the Bar.
The 2022 national profile of solicitors shows women now comprise 55 per cent of the profession. This is up from 53 per cent in 2020, which was the first time females held the majority in every state and territory.
