NSW ruling could help shift China on judgments

Chinese courts could soon be persuaded to enforce Australian judgments after a recent NSW Supreme Court ruling that recognised a decision of the Qingdao Court, according to an international arbitration expert who worked on the case.

The NSW Supreme Court's ruling in Bao v Qu; Tian (No. 2) is the first time a Chinese judgment has been enforced in NSW and only the third time in Australia.
