A key figure in the aftermath of the Lawyer X police informants royal commission heads a list of 25 new senior counsel in Victoria, after Chief Justice Anne Ferguson announced the appointments on Thursday.

Gary Hevey served from 2021-2023 as chief counsel in the Office of the Special Investigator, which was disbanded in acrimony after no police were charged.
