A decades-long rap sheet of deceit blows open Slater and Gordon probe

The woman whose first name matches metadata attached to the spreadsheet in a rogue email that triggered a crisis at Slater and Gordon is a convicted fraudster with a decades-long rap sheet of forgery and deceit.

The law firm’s former payroll manager Bridgett Maddox served two years in prison for stealing more than $300,000 from former employers when she was known as Bridgett Jones. The Australian Financial Review has linked the two identities through court records, corporate filings, interviews with former associates, social media posts and documents supplied by Maddox.
