So, with New Year retirement looming for both of us, it seems fair enough that the man who very soon will not be chief executive of BHP should be allowed to ask questions of himself.
Prompted to wonder how his working world had changed over his decade of high office at BHP, Mackenzie asks, then answers, two questions. “What have I learned about myself and what have I learned about the world from my perspective?”
