Newcrest Mining chairman Peter Tomsett says the company has more work to do to improve its culture after the sudden departure of managing director and chief executive Sandeep Biswas less than 12 months after vowing to change his leadership style.
Australia’s biggest gold miner has turned to former Woodside Energy executive Sherry Duhe to lead the company while it considers a permanent successor for Mr Biswas, who spent nearly nine years leading Newcrest.
