Haul road closure triggers billion dollar debt worries at MinRes

Unease over cash flows at highly indebted Mineral Resources has increased after work safety authorities closed the miner’s Onslow iron ore haul route following a sixth crash on the ill-fated road network.

Closure of the crash-plagued road could affect the diversified miner’s already diminished iron ore shipments and squeeze income at a company tottering under the weight of $5.8 billion of gross debt.
