Lynas builds rare earths inventory ahead of ban

Lynas Rare Earths has ruled out turning to China for relief if Malaysia sticks to a processing ban that threatens to disrupt supply of the strategically important critical mineral and has put the South-East Asian nation at odds with near neighbour Australia.
The world’s biggest non-China supplier of rare earths said on Monday that it was building up inventory before a ban on cracking and leaching in Malaysia from July 1.
