BHP may double Jansen potash several years earlier

BHP chief executive Mike Henry has signalled that production volumes at Canada’s Jansen potash mine could be doubled several years sooner than previously expected in response to the structural change in fertiliser markets since the invasion of Ukraine.

BHP has previously said that first production at Jansen will be brought forward from 2027 to 2026 and that studies on a second stage expansion of the mine were underway.
