A start-up that describes itself as the alternative to WordPress has secured $500,000 in pre-seed funding from start-up accelerator Startmate, Boson Ventures and Tim Duggan, the co-founder of Junkee Media.

Pitching itself as an all-in-one content management system that pulls together all the tools a publisher needs in one place, co-founder of Storipress, Alex Pan, says media newcomers will be able to get published in a day, a process that can take a month with rival systems.
