This new Jaguar ad screams panic
A brand for so long synonymous with pride in British design and engineering is reduced to platitudes.
Ed CummingjournalistAt the end of the advert you are no nearer to knowing what is being sold than you were at the beginning. Androgynous figures walk around in weird colourful outfits, as though they were playing boiled sweets in an interpretive dance.
A man – I think – paints a stripe across the screen. Someone wields a hammer. These figures are interrupted by ungrammatical slogans: “create exuberant”, “live vivid”, “delete ordinary”, and “copy nothing”.
