The social platform that wants to change the world (and make money)
Sue Fennessy wants to challenge the status quo by creating a platform that pays users to watch ads, gives back to charity and will not tolerate hate speech.
Australian tech entrepreneur Sue Fennessy is urging Australia’s biggest brands to shift just 6.5 per cent of their social media advertising budgets to her new platform WeAre8 as she seeks to blow up how brands and users feel about social media, namely Facebook.
Fennessy, who has never had a Facebook account, wants the social platform to bring users, who she refers to as citizens, closer together and use the platform to push for social change.
