A share trader who paid for Tyson “ASX Wolf” Scholz’s exclusive chat room has said he did not receive individual trading advice, amid a regulatory lawsuit about whether investors were given recommendations.

But the share trader has also said he sometimes made purchases based on information generally gleaned from Instagram content from Mr Scholz – who interspersed images of a flashy lifestyle with posts about shares – or from chatter in the exclusive online chat room.
