Mushroom murder tale ends with guilty verdict

Mushroom cook Erin Patterson has been found guilty of deliberately poisoning three members of her estranged husband’s family, bringing an end to a 10-week trial that has gripped the nation.

The 50-year-old blinked but appeared emotionless as four guilty verdicts were read out by the jury’s foreperson to a full courtroom of onlookers. She now faces a maximum sentence of life imprisonment.
