Menulog recruits Katy Perry to help take on Uber Eats

Miranda Ward

Menulog is focused on closing the gap between it and Uber Eats as it launches the latest version of its “did somebody say?” advertising push with Katy Perry singing about a curry in a hurry and a little sushi while watching a movie.

Menulog was founded in Sydney in 2006, and acquired by British company JustEat in 2015, but the Australian food-delivery space is dominated by Uber Eats with a market share in 2020 of 59.7 per cent. Deliveroo is second with a share of 17.5 per cent and Menulog is third with 12.1 per cent.
