Former Liberal staffer Bruce Lehrmann is likely “Australia’s most hated man”, could only find work on “something silly” like adult video subscription site OnlyFans and should be allowed to appeal a finding that he raped a colleague, his lawyer says.
Zali Burrows appeared in a Federal Court in Sydney on Monday to argue Mr Lehrmann, her client, should be able to clear his name by appealing a judge’s decision that he raped Brittany Higgins in an office in Parliament House in March 2019.
