Judge finds Lehrmann raped Higgins, but no Morrison cover-up

The Federal Court has found that Bruce Lehrmann raped Brittany Higgins in Parliament House, although her and Network Ten’s allegation of a political cover-up by the Morrison government was “supposition without reasonable foundation in verifiable fact”.

Justice Michael Lee found that after a night of drinking in March 2019, Mr Lehrmann was “hell-bent on having sex” and did “not care one way or another whether Ms Higgins understood or agreed to what was going on”.
