Brad Banducci starts to think about Ticketek’s hi-tech future

Months after taking the top job at the ticketing giant, the former Woolworths chief says he is looking forward to something more creative and entrepreneurial.

New TEG chief executive Brad Banducci says he has a mandate to invest heavily in technology, to grow the ticketing giant’s share of the event sector as competition grows from global players such as Live Nation.

In his first interview since taking the job at TEG, which operates Ticketek, in late March, Banducci says there is an opportunity to roll out new technology that will, for instance, allow customers to share an empty seat next to theirs with a friend, making it easier to buy.
