Battle of western Sydney NRL grand final fails to draw big TV crowd
Sunday’s one-sided NRL grand final attracted less than 2.8 million viewers, one of the lowest viewing figures recorded for a National Rugby League premiership decider.
The all-Sydney final between Penrith and Parramatta at Sydney’s Accor Stadium was all but over by the end of the first half, with the Panthers running out winners 28-12. The Eels only managing to register on the scoreboard in the dying minutes of the game.
