Amazon is throwing the gauntlet down in the streaming wars, revealing it has invested $150 million in Australian local productions and created more than 2500 jobs since 2019.
In its first Australian showcase event since the e-commerce giant launched its streaming video play Prime at the end of 2016, Amazon revealed it has greenlit seven new local Australian productions and licensed Nine Perfect Strangers from Australian author Liane Moriarty (Big Little Lies).
