It took 68 minutes into my lunch with Shaun Cochrane to actually understand what he does for a living. I mean, really understand. I’m only a little embarrassed to admit this, given I organised the whole thing.

The 31-year-old, six-foot-something native of Sydney’s Sutherland Shire streams video games online under the alias Aussie Antics. He has amassed millions of dedicated followers doing so, and his face and voice are associated in particular with the global phenomenon that is video game Fortnite.
