John Holland says most projects now ‘cash positive’

John Holland has forecast stronger profits in 2023 after rebounding from several years of writedowns and losses linked to Melbourne’s multibillion-dollar Metro Tunnel and West Gate Tunnel projects.

The construction group, which is owned by China Communications Construction Company (CCCC), reported a $79.5 million profit for the 12 months ending in December, more than double the $29.2 million it delivered a year earlier.
